Your family’s privacy.

This policy covers the Pennywood iPhone and iPad app and this support website. Pennywood is operated by Jianghao Li. Contact: lijianghao2000@outlook.com.

Designed for families

A grown-up signs in with Apple and manages membership. Children do not create a separate account. We do not ask for a child’s name, date of birth, school, location, photos or contact details.

What stays on your device

The app stores your Apple sign-in identifier, reading and listening positions, saved stories, completed activities and weekly reading goal locally. These records are not uploaded to a Pennywood account database and do not sync between devices. The app does not request your name or email from Apple. Stories, illustrations and narration are bundled in the app.

Apple sign-in and subscriptions

Apple authenticates your sign-in and processes subscription payments. The app checks Apple’s verified subscription information to determine access. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple handles its own account and transaction information under its privacy policy.

No advertising or tracking

Pennywood has no advertising, third-party analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. This website does not use analytics scripts, advertising cookies or a mailing-list form.

Visiting this website

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes connection data, such as IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect it. We do not use this data to profile children. We have not enabled application request logging or analytics in this service. Cloudflare may retain operational or security data under its own policies.

When you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and troubleshoot. Please avoid sending children’s personal information. Support messages are retained while needed to resolve the request or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by email.

Deleting information

You can remove the family profile and its progress in the app. See the deletion guide for current steps, including removing Pennywood from Sign in with Apple. Deleting the app removes its local app data, though device backups are controlled by your Apple settings. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription.

Your choices and requests

A grown-up can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information held by support. We cannot retrieve reading records that exist only on your device. We do not sell personal information.

Changes

We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will also be explained in the app where appropriate.
